Actually, can someone who is black and female,

who has never committed an act of self harm,

and has never had a boyfriend in their life be called “Emo?” *shrugs*

So, the little things make me annoyed and at the very worst, flat out pissed. Who doesn’t hate having their plans derailed?

I hate when someone greets me and almost immediately the next sentence out of their mouths is bad news. I once walked into work all ready to have a good day and was greeted by a superior. who then asked me if I knew so-and-so and continued (ignoring my response outright) that his mother had passed away and asked if I wanted water in the same sentence.

I hate it when I come into work early and am asked to start early if a I loiter near my work area. This happens almost daily and I have to resort to hiding in the break room. Ugh.

I hate, but can understand, that I can’t bring my cellphone or PSP to work, without it being approved (the PSP anyway). First of all, you can a brand new cellphone from a used one. Second of all, its not too hard to catch a thief.

I hate (being asked to work/) working in certain areas. I especially hate the way the company lacks triage. It just seem so inefficient at times.

I hate excessively negative people who bitch and moan and go off on others for no reason. Just evil. Yes, I realize I embody the first half of that statement, but I am self-aware. Are you?

At least I have the weekend to myself–but wait! I have a date on Sunday because I couldn’t say “No.” Dammit! [/Drew Carey]

There’s no sense of irony in that title… Really now, Hellrae…

So self-centered…

Since I haven’t quite decided what I shall do with this blog (i.e. creative writing journal or latest and greatest from Japan (and the Far East) blog), for now, I’ll keep it about my various obsessions.

One of my current obsessions is Japanese [rock] band Flow. If you have ever heard of Flow, odds are you’ve watched Naruto, Eureka Seven, and/or Code Geass among other media (video games and J-Drama) they’ve attached singles too.

I’ll admit it, I am an extremely shallow music fan. So generally, when I say I like so-and-so, it mostly refers to a single or two. I have a short attention span, so sue. Anyway, I am totally obsessed with their song, “Colors.”

It’s really too cute, and rather surprisingly, fitting for Code Geass. I love the part where the guitarist throws down his ax and goes after one of the vocalist, with his band mates rushing him. While I like the song, I think its a bit weird how the music is arranged. Its a little wonky. No?

But yeah, that video is on my PSP (suck it, I-Pod) right beside “Flames on the side of my face…” ;-)

^ If you understand that reference, pat yourself on the back. If you don’t, get on netflix and rent Clue, a dark, but excellent comedy. Its not too old either, I’ll be 21 in August, so you have no excuse.

Other current obsessions… Lately, I’ve been thinking of playing video games, rather than actually doing. I mean, that’s a new low in terms of laziness, right? I can understand wanting to play Yoshi’s Story and Wave Race, both on the Nintendo 64 (I’d have to dust that thing off!). But thinking about playing Odin Sphere and Okami? That’s just lame.

Even as I am typing, I am thinking of playing a game. So lazy…

Am I weird? Then again, I am writing about asking myself this question, when no one that I know of is around. Meh, in any case, its time for me to get ready for work. Blech.

Greetings all. I take my (screen)name from a character I’ve been thinking up, and I’d like to take the time to introduce myself. My name is Cherisa and I am proud lurker on TWoP.com and GameFAQs, among many other forums and communities. I attend UMKC and have a pretty decent, if basic, grasp of Spanish. I am majoring in Creative Writing and minoring in Journalism.

I work evenings at UPS and beyond that, I have a very strong love of video games and anime…. And Japanese music, its very strange, I know. Er, anyway, that’s all there is to know about me. Anything else about me will probably show up in later bloggings. So, there you go.
